10,000 sf coverage area: The YX610-Dual band wireless repeater is a Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA), designed for single or multiple cell phone users in homes or offices up to a maximum 10,000 square foot area when unobstructed. Dual-Band design covers all phones except Nextel iDen types.
YX610 Handles all PCS and CELLULAR digital & analog protocols, and includes multiple patent pending technologies to provide low-cost coverage while continually adapting to signals to prevent interference and remain transparent to the wireless network.

YX610 Kit includes the zBoost amplifier Base Unit, 110-120 volt AC power supply, (2) Base Unit Antennas with TNC Male connectors (6 dbi Flat Panel antenna plus 7 dBi Patch antenna combined with an included Y-Cable), (2) outside Signal Antennas with F-Type Female connectors (13 dbi Flat Panel antenna plus 7 dBi Yagi directional antenna combined with an included Y-Cable), and both antenna and base mounting hardware. The Panel and Patch antennas are easy to orient vertically to directionally receive radio signal from cell towers in a 180 degree pattern.
NOTE THAT RG grade COAXIAL CABLE IS NOT INCLUDED: Since the longer the coaxial cable run is, the more radio signal is lost at a rate of approximately 1 dB/10 ft on RG6X coax, you should measure the distance you will run the cable before ordering RG6X or RG8X coaxial cable with F-Type Male connectors on both ends. Coaxial Cable with F-type Male connectors should be obtained from a local Radio Shack store.
Wi-Ex Cell Phone Repeater Antenna and zBoost Signal Booster are CELLULAR SYSTEM specific! This means that you cannot use iDen systems (Nextel, Boost, Southern Linc, ClearNET) which cannot use these repeaters!

Note: If you can place a cell phone call outside your home or office near where the outside antenna will be placed, the YX610 Cell Phone Repeater unit will help you by boosting the signal inside the building. If you can place a call outside, but the signal is weak,(1 bar or less on your cell phone), the included high-performance antenna will help signal strength. If there is no signal outside, this Cell Phone Repeater cannot give you any improvement in coverage. Once the unit is installed, no returns are accepted.
Power consumption is only 2 Watts in standby, up to 5.5 Watts maximum draw under full signal.
One year warranty applies through the manufacturer, at 800-871-1612. No returns on opened or installed units, so be sure you have signal outside first.
Installation for Best Reception is Attic or Roof Installation: The following instructions are recommended for the best reception.
Once you have confirmed that you have a cell phone signal either outside your home, office or inside your attic, you are ready to install the Signal Antenna using the supplied mounting brackets, Signal Antenna, and OPTIONAL coaxial cable.
Identify the best location around your home or office with the strongest signal (best signal is typically found on the roof) for attachment of the antenna mounting bracket. For good signal reception, install the Signal Antenna at the highest possible point in your area. Avoid placing the antenna within 3 feet (1 meter) of metal objects (pipes, metal siding, A/C unit, etc.)
Attach the mounting bracket so that when the Signal Antenna is attached, it will be positioned vertically.
Mount the Signal Antenna to the mounting bracket, making sure that the antenna is positioned vertically.
Run the OPTIONAL coaxial cable from the Signal Antenna through the building to the Base Unit without any cuts to the cable.
Attach the Antenna to the Base Unit and position it so that it is at a 90 degree angle to the Base Unit.
Set the Base Unit on furniture or mount on a ceiling near an AC power outlet.
Attach the AC Power Supply to the Base Unit and plug the AC power supply into a standard USA 110-120 volt AC outlet. If a Red light lights up, try separating the antennas further away, and then see the Troubleshooting section of the owners manual.
